Commitment in Marriage.

One of the great things, when you have a marriage in which you are totally committed to each other, is that you can argue properly, because your spouse is not going to "solve the problem' by walking out the door! You have the freedom to say what is deep in your heart.
Of course wisdom doesn't use this freedom to hurl abuse at the spouse. But it does allow for complete expression of the issue. This must be one of the greatest of advantages over a tenuous live-in relationship.
(Yes, I know marriages break up, but I'm talking about the totally committed marriage. This comment was made by a pastor whose first marriage did break up and whose second marriage is one of total commitment to each other. Both partners are very clear and stabilised on this.)
What other advantages can you think of in this kind of relationship?
