tanhaTithing the Tree!

We received exciting new wisdom today in prayer meeting, about tithing.
Tithing is the habit Christians have of giving to God the very first 10% of gross income, before tax, before expenses. This money then goes towards the expenses of the church and the ministry work that is done from there.
It derives right from the original Garden of Eden where the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil was the one tree that Adam may not take fruit from. Perhaps it is the tree of judgement which belongs to God alone, seeing that He alone has all the information and understanding needed to judge with complete 100% justice. We on earth are required to discern and understand many things, but we are not permitted to judge or condemn. That is God’s territory, and His alone. It is one of the parts of God that we may not touch. Adam touched it and died. Jesus hung on it and resurrected not only Himself but those of humanity (Adam’ descendants) who know and believe and disciple themselves to Him.
The tithe is the financial Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. To tithe is to enable God to take care of our prosperity. Even the money is made of paper from trees!
What amazed me about this coming out was that I was writing about the trees in the Garden a while ago and came to very much the same conclusion myself. This indicates to me that the Holy Spirit is teaching us both.
I’ll maybe put up my own little Tree story tomorrow so the two can be compared.
